Vehicle Masker
Location: Peterborough, Cambridgeshire
Shift: Monday-Thursday, 15:00-00:30 (30-minute unpaid break) and Friday, 15:00-19:00 (40 hours per week)
Pay Rate: £32,906 per annum
Contract: Full-Time, Temp to Perm
We are currently recruiting for experienced Vehicle Maskers to join a busy automotive preparation centre in Peterborough. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced bodyshop operation and work alongside an experienced team preparing vehicles for paint.
We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable individuals with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently within a busy workshop environment.
The Role:
As a Vehicle Masker, your responsibilities will include:
- Masking vehicles and individual panels prior to painting
- Preparing vehicles to ensure only the required areas are exposed for paint application
- Removing masking materials and checking vehicles following paint processes
- Supporting preppers and paint sprayers to maintain workshop productivity
- Ensuring all work is completed to the highest quality standards
- Maintaining tools and equipment in good working order
- Working efficiently to achieve productivity and quality targets
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
The Person:
- Previous experience working as a Vehicle Masker or within an automotive bodyshop environment is essential
- Good understanding of vehicle preparation and masking techniques
- Excellent attention to detail and quality standards
- Ability to work under your own initiative as well as part of a team
- Reliable with a professional and hardworking attitude
- Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced workshop environment
- Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points for minor offences
