Registered Manager – Brand New Children's Residential Home

Are you an experienced Registered Manager looking for the opportunity to build and lead a brand-new children's residential home from the ground up?
We are seeking an ambitious, passionate, and inspirational leader to take ownership of a new children's home, creating a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment where children and young people can achieve exceptional outcomes.
The Role
As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the full leadership and operational management of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care while maintaining compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations.
You will oversee every aspect of the home's development, from pre-registration and recruitment through to achieving positive outcomes for children and preparing the service for Ofsted inspection.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the registration and successful opening of a new children's residential home.
- Recruit, develop, and inspire a high-performing staff team.
- Create a positive, child-centred culture where children feel safe, valued, and supported.
- Ensure full compliance with Children's Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, and safeguarding requirements.
- Maintain effective relationships with Ofsted, local authorities, social workers, and external professionals.
- Manage budgets and resources effectively.
- Drive continuous improvement and quality assurance.
- Deliver excellent outcomes for children and young people.
- Provide strong leadership, coaching, and supervision to your team.
What We're Looking For:
We are looking for an experienced leader who is passionate about delivering outstanding care and is excited by the challenge of building a new service.
You will have:
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager within a children's residential home.
- A strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and Children's Homes Quality Standards.
- A proven track record of achieving positive inspection outcomes.
- Experience leading, developing, and motivating staff teams.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- The ability to build positive relationships with children, families, local authorities, and partner agencies.
- A genuine commitment to improving the lives of children and young people.
Essential Requirements:
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Significant management experience within children's residential care.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection legislation.
- Full UK driving licence.
