Warehouse Operative / Van Driver - Mallusk

Hours
- Monday to Thursday: 08:30–17:00
- Friday: 08:00–15:45
- Flexible attitude to start and finish times required to suit business needs; overtime at short notice may be required
The role of Warehouse Operative / Van Driver:
- Ensuring efficient and accurate deliveries of customer orders
- Ensuring Kanbans are properly maintained to company and customer agreed standards
- Efficient monitoring and management of stock at customer premises, practising FIFO (First In First Out)
- Report any issues with the Kanban systems to the nominated person
- Making deliveries to point of use with NI and ROI customers
- Promoting good customer relationships, both internally and externally
- Ensuring Health and Safety is not compromised
- Ensuring good housekeeping is maintained within the warehouse
- Picking and packing orders; dispatch activities complete and accurate at all times
- Moving stock around by hand, using lifting gear or a forklift truck
- Checking for damaged or missing items
- Loading goods for dispatch
- Storing goods to ensure accurate location of stock at all times
- Keeping records of stock and paperwork up to date
- Taking delivery of goods and supplies
- Actively participating in appraisals, company initiatives and team meetings
The ideal Warehouse Operative / Van Driver:
- Previous warehouse experience essential
- Valid driver's licence essential
- Forklift licence would be beneficial
- Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
- Used to working to deadlines in a busy environment
- Able to think on their feet, prioritise and remain focused — accuracy is paramount
- Flexible approach to start/finish times and overtime at short notice
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, this is a varied permanent role based in Mallusk covering all areas of the warehouse and making deliveries to customers.
