Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join our team as a Van Delivery Driver. This role involves delivering goods efficiently and safely while maintaining excellent communication with clients and team members. The successful candidate will possess strong driving skills, experience in warehouse operations, and the physical capability to handle heavy lifting. Responsibilities
- Safely operate Delivery vehicles, including commercial vans ranging from small vans to XLWB and Luton Vans, ensuring adherence to all traffic laws and company policies
- Deliver goods to various locations within designated areas in a timely manner
- Assist with loading and unloading items, including heavy lifting as required
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with clients and team members
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment
- Assist in warehouse tasks such as stock organisation and inventory management when not on delivery routes
Requirements
- Proven delivery driver experience, preferably with commercial driving background
- Valid Full UK driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Experience in warehouse operations is advantageous
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks regularly
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
- Prior experience in driving or logistics is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
