The Exciting Role
A new and exciting opportunity has become available for a Teaching, Learning and Development Lead
The Teaching, Learning and Development department at ELLG is renowned for being at the forefront of evidence-based teaching and learning practices. Supporting staff through our Be Phenomenal CPDL programme to continually reflect and develop their practice, so it has positive outcomes for all our learners.
The successful candidate will be primarily based at both Accrington and Nelson Campuses and may be required to travel across sites including Brierfield and to venues across Lancashire.
This post would suit someone who has a proven track record of excellent teaching, they are constantly curious, passionate about teaching and learning and developing staff through a coaching lens. As our ethos is that our CPDL is based on evidence-informed practice, reading and researching the best TLA practices should excite you. Here we never stop at good enough, we own it and get stuck in. Teaching is at the heart of our college and if teaching and learning runs through your veins this is the job for you.
What You Will Be Doing:
You will be supporting the Teaching, Learning and Development Director carrying out duties that link to both Quality Improvement and Learning and Development.
- Leading educational research and implementation
- Sustaining, developing and improving teaching and learning across the ELLG.
- Where AFDs are identified implementing appropriate strategies to enable sustainable change in practice
- Further supporting the development of mentoring and coaching through the organisation
- Leading our effective Be Phenomenal CPDL programme where we believe everyone keeps striving to improve not because we are not good enough, but we can always be better
What We Are Looking For someone who:
- Has an excellent understanding of pedagogy and is constantly curious to continually learn and grow and share their knowledge and practice
- Is passionate and teaching and learning and can inspire and ignite that passion in others
- Is self-motivated and driven to constantly reflect on their own practice and others
- Is a team player and can lead others through excellent communication skills, coaching methodology, initiative and an adaptable attitude
- Has excellent digital skills that can complement pedagogical practices within all provision types whether that be academic or technical delivery, A Level or Foundation course.
