NewBridge Care Home is seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Care Officer (Nights) to join our busy dementia care team.
This is a permanent position working a set shift pattern of Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights, totaling 36 hours per week. Shifts consist of 12-hour shifts on Friday Saturday and Sunday,7.30am-7.30 pm( 15 minutes earlier for handover) . Please note that this fixed pattern does not apply during the two-week Christmas and New Year period.
Essential Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
- Medication Administration Qualification
- Previous experience working as a Senior Carer
- Experience supporting individuals living with dementia
- Excellent leadership and organisational skills
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Confidence communicating with healthcare professionals, residents and families
- Ability to work independently and lead a team during night shifts
About the Role
As a Senior Care Officer, you will be responsible for:
- Leading the night care team and ensuring high standards of care
- Administering medication safely and accurately
- Supporting residents with personal care and wellbeing needs
- Maintaining accurate care records and documentation
- Liaising with healthcare professionals and relatives
- Promoting a safe, caring and person-centred environment
