Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Roofer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in roofing installation and repair, with a strong understanding of various construction trades. Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain roofing systems using appropriate materials such as tiles, shingles, or metal sheets
- Measure and cut roofing materials accurately using hand tools and power tools
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and building codes
- Assist with related tasks including carpentry, masonry, or plumbing as required on site
- Use fabrication techniques to modify materials for specialised roofing applications
- Work collaboratively with team members to complete projects efficiently and to high standards
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment at all times
Qualifications
- Proven experience in roofing installation and repair
- Knowledge of carpentry, construction painting, plumbing, masonry, welding, electrical work, and fabrication is advantageous
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in roofing and construction trades
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Physical fitness to perform demanding tasks including lifting heavy materials and working at heights
- Valid relevant qualifications or certifications are preferred but not essential
- A commitment to safety practices on site is mandatory
