Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Production Operative / Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the rug manufacturing process, ensuring that production runs smoothly and efficiently.
This is a dual purpose role, you will be primarily based in our workshop assisting with the manufacturing and handling of rugs, while also providing vital relief driving cover to ensure our products reach customers on time.
Full training will be provided.
Due to commercial insurance fleet requirements, candidates must have held a full UK manual driving licence for a minimum of 8 years, or be over the age of 25.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain production machinery and equipment.
- Manufacture rugs according to specifications and quality standards.
- Utilise machines effectively to complete tasks.
- Provide delivery support during driver holidays and absence.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Full clean UK driving licence essential.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a proactive attitude towards problem-solving.
- Willingness to learn new skills.
