Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Delivery Van Driver to join our team based at our Tamworth Warehouse. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and timely collection and delivery of goods to customers, ensuring excellent service throughout the delivery process. You’ll play a key part in representing our company out on the road.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load, transport, and deliver items to clients or businesses in a safe and timely manner
- Follow assigned routes and time schedules
- Review orders before and after delivery to ensure accuracy and quality
- Provide exceptional customer service, including answering questions and handling complaints professionally
- Operate the delivery van responsibly, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies
- Perform vehicle inspections and report any issues or maintenance needs
- Assist with loading and unloading items when necessary
- Maintain delivery logs and records as required
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a delivery driver (preferred but not required)
- Ability to operate delivery vans and GPS navigation systems
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Must be physically fit and able to lift and carry packages up to approx. 25kg.
- GCSE or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with local routes and traffic patterns
- Familiarity with basic vehicle maintenance
- Customer service experience
