We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pub Chef to join our vibrant hospitality team. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with menu specifications and quality standards
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations
- Manage food production processes, ensuring timely delivery of orders during busy periods
- Oversee food safety practices, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in line with regulations
- Assist in menu planning and development to keep offerings fresh and appealing
- Monitor inventory levels, organise stock orders, and minimise waste
- Train new team members on cooking techniques, safety procedures, and customer service expectations
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Maintain a positive and professional work environment that encourages teamwork and high performance
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within a pub or restaurant setting
- Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Leadership qualities that foster teamwork and high morale among staff
- Experience in food production, culinary arts, and hospitality service
