Main Duties
We are looking for an experience Occupational Health Nurse, responsible for case management assessments, health surveillance, vaccinations, drug and alcohol screening, DSE assessments, workplace health assessments and wellbeing clinics.
The role involves regular travel to client sites, transporting and operating the Mobile Medical Unit (MMU). The occasional overnight stay may be required. Your responsibilities will include:
- Travelling to client sites in the company surveillance van
- Delivering safe, evidence-based, cost-effective Occupational Health services
- Managing medical stock, including the safe storage, rotation and disposal of vaccines and medications
- Competent in anaphylaxis and resuscitation
- Make professionally autonomous decisions for which you will be accountable
- Make appropriate referrals and provide general advice on health & wellbeing
- Maintain accurate clinical records and ensuring compliance with data protection requirements
- Contribute to service development and KPI achievement
- Work collaboratively with clients, colleagues and the wider multi-disciplinary team
- Attend relevant meetings, maintaining professional knowledge and supporting the implementation of policies and procedures
- Undertake other duties as necessary
Person Specification
- Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
- Minimum 2 years OH experience
- Full UK driving licence (or valid EU licence for use in the UK)
- Willingness to travel to different client sites
- Competent in spirometry, audiometry, HAVS, phlebotomy and vaccine administration in line with the Green Book
- Ability to work independently and make autonomous decisions
- Strong IT skills
- Excellent communication (written & verbal), organisational and time management skills
- High level of accuracy, professionalism and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn new skills
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances
