Responsible Individual (RI) – Children’s Residential Services
Location: Dachet
We currently supporting a client who are seeking an experienced and passionate Responsible Individual (RI) to provide senior leadership, governance and compliance oversight over 2 Children’s Residential Homes located in Dachet.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned children’s services professional who is committed to safeguarding, quality, regulatory compliance, and achieving the very best outcomes for young people.
As the Responsible Individual, you will play a central leadership role across multiple Children’s Homes, ensuring that each service remains compliant, safe and well‑run in line with CQC and statutory regulations.
You will work closely with Registered Managers, senior leaders and safeguarding partners to drive high standards across all homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and governance across multiple Children’s Residential Homes
- Ensure full compliance with CQC requirements, local authority standards and relevant legislation
- Support, mentor and supervise Registered Managers
- Lead on quality assurance, audits, improvement plans and service development
- Oversee safeguarding practice, risk management and incident review
- Maintain positive working relationships with external stakeholders
- Ensure all homes deliver safe, nurturing, child‑centred care
Requirements
- Proven experience as an RI or senior leader within Children’s Residential Services
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, children’s legislation and regulatory frameworks
- Excellent leadership, communication and decision‑making skills
- Commitment to high‑quality, trauma‑informed, child‑focused practice
