Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes and home care settings. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support clients with mobility and daily routines in accordance with individual care plans
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients’ quality of life
- Help with meal preparation and feeding as required
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in clients’ conditions
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
- Collaborate effectively with the wider care team to deliver personalised care
Skills
- Driving licence is required for home care roles requiring travel between locations
- Experience working within a care home or home care environment is advantageous
- Ability to understand and follow detailed care plans tailored to individual needs
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, in English
- Basic IT skills for maintaining accurate documentation and records
- Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy, patience, and professionalism
- Strong organisational abilities to manage multiple tasks efficiently
