Nursery Room Leader – Full Time

We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring and experienced Room Leader to join our friendly and dedicated team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate early years professional who can lead a room with confidence, inspire colleagues and provide outstanding care and education for children.
About the role
As a Room Leader, you will work alongside the Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager to lead and inspire your team while delivering exceptional care and education. Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and support a team of practitioners within your room.
- Create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for children.
- Plan and deliver engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework.
- Monitor children’s development and complete accurate observations and assessments.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents and carers to support the best outcome for children.
- Ensure safeguarding, health and safety and nursery policies are followed at all times.
- Support staff development and promote high standards of practice throughout the room.
- Supporting the Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager to ensure smooth nursery operations and consistent quality. Taking charge of nursery operations in their absence.
Essential requirements
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Childcare or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Previous experience working within an early years setting.
- Experience leading a room or supervising staff.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Good knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding and child development.
- A positive, reliable and professional attitude.

Full Time: Monday to Friday (minimum 40 hours per week), all year round.
This is NOT a Term Time Only position.
Competitive hourly rate, depending on qualifications and experience.
