Cleaning Operative – Frizington (Two School Sites)
30 hours per week – Monday to Friday
Shifts: 6am–8am & 4pm–8pm
School Environment
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Cleaning Operative to work across two school sites in the Frizington area. You will help maintain a clean, safe and hygienic environment for pupils, staff and visitors. This role requires someone who can work split shifts and travel between two nearby sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning classrooms, corridors, toilets and communal areas
- Vacuuming, mopping, dusting and surface cleaning
- Emptying bins and replenishing consumables
- Following daily cleaning schedules and completing checklists
- Reporting hazards, damage or maintenance issues promptly
- Working safely in line with school safeguarding and H&S procedures
Requirements
- Enhanced DBS check (supplied by employer)
- Safeguarding awareness (training will be provided)
- Ability to work independently across two sites
- Good attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards
- Reliability, punctuality and professionalism
- Able to follow health & safety and site‑specific procedures
Hours of Work
- 30 hours per week
- Monday to Friday
- 6am–8am (morning shift)
- 4pm–8pm (afternoon shift)
- Travel between two school sites in the Frizington area required
