A fast-growing accountancy and advisory firm with offices in Manchester are looking to appoint an experienced Tax Manager to further develop and support their growing team, paying £57,000 - £67,000 DOE.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious tax professional looking to step into a varied, advisory-led role with exposure to a broad client portfolio, while working within a collaborative and progressive environment. You'll work closely with senior leadership, supporting entrepreneurial and owner-managed businesses across a range of tax matters.

Managing a varied portfolio of larger and more complex tax clients, delivering high-quality compliance and advisory support

Providing tax planning advice to business owners across areas such as acquisitions and disposals, business restructuring, remuneration planning, inheritance tax and estate planning

Supporting clients with corporation tax, personal tax, capital gains tax and wider tax matters

Handling HMRC enquiries and investigations, including technical research, financial analysis and report writing

Acting as a technical point of contact for both clients and internal stakeholders

Supporting, mentoring and developing junior members of the tax team

Building strong client relationships and identifying opportunities to add value through proactive advice

CTA / ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent)

Strong experience gained within an accountancy practice tax environment

Solid experience advising owner-managed businesses (OMBs) on a range of tax matters

Comfortable working across both compliance and advisory projects

Strong communicator who enjoys building relationships with clients and colleagues

Proactive, commercially minded and keen to progress within a growing firm

Exposure to VAT advisory work would be advantageous, but not essential
