Overview
We are seeking a motivated Trainee Costs Draftsman to join our team. The role will be an entry level position in to the world of Costs Law, a niche area of law, that impacts every law firm in the country. It is a great starting career in law because it exposes the successful candidate to real cases, court litigation, and different areas of law.
Duties
- Drafting and running Part 8 court proceedings.
- Preparing Bills of Costs
- Handling costs negotiations.
- Managing a portfolio of cases.
Skills
- A good understanding of the law in general with a Law Degree or equivalent.
- Computer literate.
- Good communication skills
- Willingness to work individually and as part of a team.
- Mathematical proficiency to assist in calculation of costs
