Duties
- Operate vacuum excavator equipment to perform various tasks such as digging, trenching & working around services
- Follow project plans and instructions to ensure accurate and efficient excavation work
- Safely manoeuvre the excavator in tight spaces and around obstacles
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on the equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to ensure smooth operations on the job site
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (Class 2) with a clean driving record
- Proven experience operating excavators or similar heavy equipment would be beneficial
- Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot minor issues
- Ability to read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and specifications
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness skills
- Physical stamina to withstand long hours of sitting and operating heavy machinery
