Care Assistant / Support Worker – Complex Care

Are you a compassionate, dedicated, and person-centred care professional looking to make a genuine difference? We are recruiting a caring and committed team to join The Cottage, our new, small specialist Complex Care Wing at Norwood House, in preparation for its opening.
The Cottage has been designed to provide high-quality, individualised care in a warm, homely environment for people with complex physical, cognitive, and health needs. As a small specialist wing, our focus is on building meaningful relationships, delivering exceptional person-centred care, and creating a safe, supportive environment where every individual is treated with dignity and respect.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a brand-new team from the very beginning, helping to shape the culture, standards, and quality of care within our new service.
What You'll Do
- Deliver compassionate, person-centred care tailored to each individual's needs.
- Support residents with daily living activities while promoting independence wherever possible.
- Provide care that promotes dignity, choice, wellbeing, and quality of life.
- Work collaboratively with nurses, healthcare professionals, and families to ensure the highest standards of care.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with the wider multidisciplinary team.
- Help create a positive, welcoming, and supportive environment as we establish our new complex care service.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience working in a complex care setting.
- Experience supporting people living with dementia, including responding appropriately to behaviours that may challenge in a compassionate, person-centred, and trauma-informed way.
- A sound understanding of person-centred care and a commitment to promoting dignity, independence, and choice.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A calm, patient, and resilient approach, with the ability to build trusting relationships.
- A willingness to undertake further specialist training and continuously develop your skills.
- A genuine passion for delivering exceptional care and improving the lives of others.
