We are seeking a Recovery Worker to join the Argyll and Bute Recovery Service on a fixed term basis until 31/03/2027. Do you have a passion for recovery and supporting people to make positive changes in their life? If so, this is a great opportunity for you.
Each day as a Recovery Worker is varied, fulfilling and challenging. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to individuals and families in the Helensburgh and the Lomond area. As a Recovery Worker, you’ll be a vital part of our compassionate team dedicated to reducing harm and promoting positive change for individuals and families impacted by drug and alcohol use. Our support is for those aged 18 plus and we work alongside NHS and third sector partners. We have a full time 37.5 hour per week vacancy but are open to applicants seeking part-time hours, this should be specified in your cover letter.

As a Recovery Worker, we offer a starting salary of £26,250 per annum, rising each year in line with our pay progression salary bands, to £30,900 per annum. For further details please reach out to a member of the recruitment team via [email protected].
Our wider team covers all of Argyll and Bute by outreach into the community. This varied role will include providing harm reduction support, 1:1 appointments and small group work. We'll provide training so that you have knowledge and confidence to provide the right support to the individual at the right time. Our service is highly regarded by those we support, with client feedback consistently praising the quality of care and the dedication of our staff.
Based in Helensburgh and reaching out into Lomond, Recovery Workers are at the heart of our community-based support. You will manage a caseload of individuals and family members, organise your diary and represent the organisation at meetings with the NHS and local organisations. While you’ll work with independence, you’re never alone - you will be backed by a solid team, with guidance from management and training and development.
This role is initially fixed term until 31/03/2027, pending the confirmation of permanent funding.
An SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare is preferred for this position; however, we will consider candidates with relevant experience and a strong willingness to obtain it.

Requirements: You are confident using computers and digital systems. While a driving license and car are helpful, they are not essential. An SVQ Level 3 is preferred, but we welcome applicants with relevant experience who are willing to work toward this qualification.
