About the Role:
- Lead a mixed KS3 class within a specialist SEN setting supporting students with Autism (ASC) and associated learning needs
- Deliver personalised lessons tailored to individual EHCP targets and learning abilities
- Create an inclusive, structured classroom environment with effective behaviour support strategies
- Work closely with Teaching Assistants and Learning Support Assistants to maximise student engagement and progress
- Use a holistic approach to teaching, incorporating play, exploration, and experiential learning
- Support students’ communication, social interaction, emotional regulation, and independence
- Help pupils develop essential life skills within a safe and nurturing learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons for students with SEN including Autism (ASC), ADHD, and complex learning needs
- Implement EHCP strategies to support individual learning and development
- Provide consistent behaviour support to promote positive outcomes and emotional wellbeing
- Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching approaches where required
- Collaborate with therapists, support staff, and senior leaders to provide holistic support
- Create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment
- Build positive relationships with families and external professionals

Key Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching students with SEN, particularly Autism (ASC), ADHD, and complex needs
- Strong understanding of EHCPs and differentiated teaching strategies
- Ability to work effectively with Teaching Assistants and Learning Support Assistants
- Skilled in behaviour support within a structured environment
- Passion for inclusive education and supporting children with additional needs
