About this opportunity:
We are a premium doggy day care facility that offers full and half days care, grooming and associated services including veterinary nurse visits, nutritional consultations, training, puppy classes and puppy care. We have a spacious indoor facility and large secure outdoor space with dog equipment. We ensure that all our doggy visitors have a fun, enriched and structured day with top quality care.
We offer a great relaxed but professional environment with a great team and we look forward to helping someone start a career in the dog industry.
Duties to include but not limited to;
Meet and greet dogs and owners
Take dogs for outside play and exercise
Provide enrichment game
Run agility games
Help to settle dogs for nap times
Feeding dogs
Participating in “Theme weeks” we have already had an Ibiza Party week and planning a Beach week, Halloween week, Lots of special days running up to Christmas.
In the summer, we have taken the dogs swimming in the river
Take videos/photos for social media
Help with social media planning
Help with completing certificates for new starters
Clean and disinfect the premises and pet taxi
Desired Skills and Qualities
Someone who is a confident team player, who is very hands on and wants to learn.
A good work ethic and can present themselves well, is comfortable talking to peers and stakeholders.
A love of dogs and feels comfortable around them from Yorkshire Terriers to Great Danes and everything in between.
Competent in IT, and with a creative personality.
Good communication skills, can use initiative and follows instructions easily
We are not close to any public transport so needs a car or some transport arrangements.
Desired qualifications
GCSE maths and English desirable but not essential.
It is essential that applicants have their own means to get to work, as there are NO public transport links.
Future Progression

Training
Full training to be provided by the employer and KEITS at the place of employment.
The applicant will be working towards a Level 2 Apprenticeship
The learner will be allocated an industry specific training consultant who will provide both remote and on site visits throughout the apprenticeship.
The apprentice will work towards an End Point Assessment (EPA) at the end of their apprenticeship.
