About The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and strategic senior manager to join our team. The desired candidate will have significant experience in a senior management role, preferably within the care sector for older people. The position is, however, open to candidates from other industries with transferrable skill sets and a wealth of management experience. The Head of Region will provide effective line management and support to the individual home managers to facilitate the smooth running of the care home and the provision of service excellence. This is a regional role covering the South Wales region. It is therefore essential that the post holder possesses a UK full, clean driving licence and preferably, their own vehicle.
Key Deliverables*
- Ensuring that a high standard of care is delivered at all levels, keeping the dignity, choice and respect of our residents at the heart of decisions
- Developing and implementing robust Quality Assurance and Compliance systems to monitor compliance and quality standards in all homes
- Conducting regular supervision and performance appraisals with individual managers.
- Supporting managers in identifying development needs of care staff and implementing appropriate training solutions
- Establishing strong relationships with external stakeholders including families, healthcare professionals and local communities
- Understanding the home and groups’ strategic goals and effectively supporting managers in achieving these
- Working effectively with internal stakeholders in developing new systems

Person Profile
- Passion for supporting older people
- Holds a registered Managers Award or Leadership and Management for Care Award – (Or an equivalent leadership/management qualification outside of the Care Sector)
- Strong IT Skills
- Robust understanding and recognition of CIW requirements
- Experience in leading and managing change within teams
- Experience of working with improvement and project plans
- Ability to prioritise effectively
- Strong communication skills
- An understanding of and adherence to Caron Group’s ethos
- Driving License (essential) – preferably with your own car
Package
- Full time, Permanent – 40 hours a week
- Salary - £80,000.00 Per Annum
