Looking for a deeply rewarding pastoral role where your skills can transform a whole community? Ossett Academy & Accord Sixth Form are seeking to appoint a proactive and committed Family Liaison Officer to work directly with vulnerable young people and their families in the community, to promote, strengthen, and develop positive engagement with education.
In this vital role, you will bridge the gap between home and education, ensuring every pupil has the support they need to thrive. You will work collaboratively with parents and carers, guiding them toward the right support services and helping them champion their child’s success. The position further involves providing professional expertise, advice, and guidance regarding pastoral care, and delivering high-quality, structured programmes that build pupils' confidence and self-esteem.
We are seeking a calm, approachable professional to join our school community. Prior experience working with children and young people is highly advantageous, alongside a proven ability to build strong rapport, and directly improve pupil attendance, behaviour, and engagement across the academy.
The position is on a full-time basis working Monday to Thursday 8.00am to 4.00pm and Friday 8.00am to 3.30pm, with a half an hour unpaid lunch break per day.
