This is an exciting opportunity for mobile MRI radiographers in Taunton Monday to Sunday 36 hours per week, 12 hours shifts
The Role
As a Senior MRI Radiographer, you will play a key role in delivering advanced MRI imaging to a high clinical standard. You will support the setup of the new service, contribute to clinical leadership, and ensure that all examinations are carried out safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high‑quality MRI scans across a wide range of clinical indications.
- Support the head of operations with service setup, workflow development, and protocol optimisation.
- Ensure adherence to MRI safety standards and maintain a safe working environment.
- Provide supervision, mentoring, and guidance to junior radiographers and students.
- Work collaboratively with radiologists, referrers, and wider clinical teams.
- Contribute to quality assurance, audit, and continuous service improvement.
- Deliver an exceptional patient experience, ensuring dignity, compassion, and clear communication at all times.
About You
- HCPC‑registered Diagnostic Radiographer.
- Significant MRI experience (minimum 3–5 years ).
- Confident in advanced MRI techniques (e.g., MSK, neuro, body, contrast studies).
- Strong understanding of MRI safety, including Level 1/Level 2 training.
- Ability to work independently and take clinical initiative.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
- Passionate about improving patient pathways and service delivery.
