Job description
Sennen Education are working with a primary school who are looking for a full-time SEN Teacher for their resource provision. The provision supports and cares for primary age children with ASD, Non verbal and learning difficulties.
The successful candidate will play an integral part of the school’s team who put the children at the centre of everything they do. You will plan, assess and deliver outstanding teaching and learning that enable all children to learn, whilst ensuring that pastoral needs are met.
You will need to:
- Hold valid QTS or equivalent
- Promote the delivery of outstanding teaching
- Have teaching experience whether in a mainstream Primary or SEN setting
- Be a superb communicator
- Have good behaviour management skills
- Hold an excellent classroom practice to be able to motivate and enable learning in pupils of all abilities and needs.
- Exhibit the ability to adapt and improvise.
The class has 5 pupils of mixed ages in KS1 and KS2 all with a range of special educational needs including autistic spectrum condition (ASC) and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). All pupils are working at around EYFS or year 1 level in the curriculum.
