Project Manager (Highways)
Location: Suffolk
Engagement: 2-Year Contract
Site Based: 5 Days Per Week

We're recruiting for an experienced Highways Project Manager to join a major UK infrastructure programme delivering critical off-site works.
If you have a strong background in highways or civil engineering projects, coupled with hands-on NEC contract experience, this is an excellent opportunity to work on a complex, high-profile scheme with long-term security.
You'll Need:
- 10+ years' Project Management experience
- NEC contract experience
- Highways or major civil infrastructure delivery experience
- Experience managing contractors on live construction projects
- Strong programme, risk and cost management skills
- Experience working within a regulated environment

What You'll Be Doing:
- Leading the delivery of highways and infrastructure work packages from start to completion.
- Managing NEC contracts and contractor performance.
- Monitoring programme, budget, risk and change.
- Reviewing construction schedules and 16-week look-ahead programmes.
- Coordinating contractors, consultants and project stakeholders.
- Producing weekly and monthly progress reports.
- Driving safe delivery to quality, programme and cost targets.
- Identifying and resolving delivery issues to maintain project momentum.
- Maintaining project trackers and ensuring accurate reporting.
- Managing documentation through Common Data Environments (CDEs).
Essential Experience & Qualifications:
- Proven experience delivering major highways, civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and contract administration.
- Experience managing contractors and multidisciplinary delivery teams.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Highway Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent demonstrable experience.
- Incorporated Engineer status (or working towards) with a relevant professional institution.
- Valid CSCS Card.
Desirable:
- Experience using CEMAR.
- Experience using Viewpoint.
- Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM).
- Experience working on large-scale, highly regulated projects.
