Eco Target Ltd is expanding into the solar PV market and we are looking for an experienced Solar PV Sales & Design Manager to lead this new department.
This is a key role for someone who understands the full solar customer journey from enquiry, survey, design, quotation, finance options, contract, handover, installation support and aftercare.
The right person must be confident selling solar PV and battery systems to homeowners, designing systems using Easy PV or similar software, preparing professional customer proposals, calculating pricing, explaining savings/payback, and helping customers move forward either by paying directly or using finance options.
Responsibilities
- Manage solar PV enquiries from first contact to signed contract
- Carry out customer consultations and explain solar PV, battery storage, savings and finance options
- Design solar PV systems using Easy PV, OpenSolar or similar design software
- Produce accurate quotations, proposals, contracts and customer packs
- Work with suppliers to confirm equipment, pricing, availability and margins
- Help set up and manage finance options for customers
- Build and manage the solar sales pipeline through CRM
- Coordinate with surveyors, electricians, roofers, installers and office admin
- Ensure each job is properly handed over for installation
- Track conversion rates, sales performance, margins and customer satisfaction
- Help Eco Target build a strong, compliant and profitable solar division
Requirements
- Proven experience in solar PV sales
- Strong understanding of domestic solar PV and battery storage
- Experience using Easy PV, OpenSolar, PV Sol or similar design software
- Ability to prepare solar designs, proposals and customer quotations
- Confident explaining payback, savings, export tariffs and finance options
- Strong closing skills and customer service approach
- Good knowledge of MCS-style customer paperwork and installation process
- Able to manage jobs from lead to contract to installation handover
- Organised, target-driven and commercially aware
- Full UK driving licence preferred
Desirable
- Experience setting up or managing a solar sales department
- Knowledge of MCS, DNO/G98/G99 process, warranties and insurance-backed guarantees
- Existing supplier or finance provider relationships
- Experience managing sales staff or appointment setters
