Painter and Decorator (Experienced or Trainee)

About Us
We’re a friendly, professional painting and decorating company based in Chipping Norton, with a great local reputation for quality and reliability. We work on homes and businesses across the Cotswolds and Oxfordshire and are looking for both skilled decorators and motivated individuals wanting to learn a trade. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between sites.
The Role
You’ll help deliver high-quality interior and exterior decorating on domestic and commercial projects.
Work includes surface prep, painting, wallpapering (where applicable), and keeping a clean, safe site.
Who We’re Looking For
Requirements for all:
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for site travel purposes
- Good command of English, both spoken and written
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and colleagues
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or as part of a team
- Organised approach with attention to detail in all aspects of work
- Knowledge of health and safety standards relevant to painting and decorating tasks
In addition:
Experienced Painters & Decorators:
- Good product knowledge and attention to detail
- Able to work independently and as part of a small team
Trainees / Career Changers:
- No experience required – full training offered
- Enthusiastic, reliable, and willing to learn
- Punctual and takes pride in good work
Health & Safety
- Awareness of site safety procedures
- Use of PPE and respect for clients’ property
