Position Overview
Our Small Delivery Van Team in Borehamwood plays a key role in getting our fully assembled kitchens to customers.
Each day, your kitchen orders are shunted from our main site in Sherburn in Elmet, Leeds to your Bristol base – right to your door! Working as part of a two-person delivery team, you’ll complete deliveries in Borehamwood and the surrounding areas — providing excellent customer service and ensuring kitchens arrive in perfect condition.
This is an active, customer-facing role that includes heavy lifting and handling large, bulky kitchen units. You’ll represent DIY Kitchens on the doorstep, so a positive attitude and confidence with customers are essential.
What You Will Be Doing
- Working as part of a two-person delivery team in and around the Borehamwood area
- Driving a company branded delivery van to complete daily routes
- Unloading fully assembled kitchen units safely, using correct manual handling techniques - we will train you!
- Delivering outstanding customer service at every home you visit
- Using a handheld scanner to complete deliveries accurately
- Checking loads, ensuring units are protected and secure
- Maintaining a clean and tidy vehicle
- Communicating with the transport team regarding delays, route issues, or customer queries
- Representing DIY Kitchens professionally as the face of our brand
This is a hands‑on, physical role — ideal for people who enjoy being active and working in a small, friendly team.
About You
You’ll be a great fit if you are:
- Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting
- Positive, friendly, and confident with customers
- Reliable, punctual, and proud of doing a great job
- A strong team player able to work closely with a delivery partner – do you have a mate, recommend them too!
- Well organised with good attention to detail
- Comfortable using handheld scanning technology
- Experienced in delivery, logistics, warehouse or similar roles (preferred but not essential)
- A full UK driving licence (required) – no more than 6 points
