PICTURE FRAMING CONSULTANT- Cam and Cirencester hybrid role
Wall Space Picture Framing is a successful family business based in Gloucestershire. We have a Workshop and Showroom in Cam and a retail shop in Cirencester.
We pride ourselves on offering high quality picture frames and are looking for someone to join our team of framing experts, supporting customers with their framing requirements from concept through to creation.

Job Purpose/Key Role:
Liaising with customers to understand their individual framing requirements, offering expert advice and guidance then supporting our experienced picture framers creating bespoke items.
Main Duties/Responsibilities
- Assist customers in selecting appropriate framing options to suit their item
- Provide expert advice on colour schemes, styles, and materials to enhance the visual appeal of framed pieces
- Upsell additional products and services to maximise customer satisfaction and sales opportunities
- Dealing with customer enquiries via telephone an email.
- Prepare detailed quotations and process orders accurately using in house software
- Accurately measure, cut, assemble, and finish picture frames according to client requirements and specifications
- Fitting customers items into frames and conducting thorough quality checks
Skills required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical details clearly to customers of varying backgrounds
- Experience in upselling products or services within a retail or specialised environment
- Excellent customer service skills
- ‘Can do’ approach with good practical skills and ability to measure accurately.
- Proven problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
- Adaptable and able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
- Self-motivated and hardworking
- Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and understanding the importance of accuracy and quality control.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexible, reliable and trustworthy.
- IT literate and able to use an iPad/tablet
Knowledge
- Demonstrate good understanding of picture framing and ideally an interest in Art or Design
Experience
- Previous retail experience necessary, ideally in a similar environment offering tailored products or services suitable to the customers’ needs.
- Previous Picture Framing experience would be an advantage, but training can be given to the right person who has proven practical ability.
Other Requirements
- Full Driving Licence required.
- Must be willing to travel to Cam and Cirencester for work dependant on business needs
- Occasional Saturday working required
