We are looking for someone who is experienced and knowledgeable about the rights of children and young people and who can demonstrate positive change as a result of advocating on their behalf.
The role will:

be a champion for children’s voices, advocating on behalf of, with and empowering them to be heard and involved in relation to their individual plans and decisions that impact on them
- support, enable and champion the voice of children and young people to shape and influence service development and transformation
- involve working across Children’s Services and the wider partnership to champion children’s voices, and to challenge and support them to take account of and respond to the views and experiences of children and young people
- involve some group work, delivery of training and raising awareness of children’s rights
Candidates will have a range of methods and mechanisms for communicating and engaging with children and young people with a range of needs as well as staff and managers across Children’s Services and the wider partnership.
