Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Glass Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting glass products to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining high standards of professionalism and safety. Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles, including vans and lorries, to deliver glass products to clients and job sites.
- Load and unload glass items, often requiring heavy lifting and careful handling to prevent damage.
- Ensure all deliveries are completed on time, adhering to scheduled routes and deadlines.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain necessary signatures upon completion.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen delays.
- Follow all health and safety regulations during loading, transit, and unloading processes.
Experience
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably within the glass or construction materials industry.
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
- Experience in commercial driving, demonstrating safe driving practices over long distances.
- Previous warehouse experience is advantageous, especially involving heavy lifting and manual handling.
- Strong communication skills to liaise professionally with clients and team members.
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting of glass sheets or crates. This role requires a dedicated individual capable of managing physical tasks while maintaining excellent driving standards.
