Ferry trailer experience is essential !
The successful candidates will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods across various locations, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for drivers with a background in commercial driving and delivery operations to contribute to a dynamic and professional organisation.
Rates are :
Days £19.00 PH , Nights £20 PH
Nights out £28.50 PN
A Minimum of 10 hours guaranteed no breaks deducted
Responsibilities
- Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) Licence
- Minimum 2 years’ HGV driving experience
- Ferry trailer experience essential
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Valid CPC & Digital Tachograph card

- Plan and follow optimal routes to meet delivery schedules, maintaining punctuality at all times.
- Conduct pre-journey checks on vehicles to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with safety standards.
- Load and unload goods efficiently, adhering to health and safety protocols.
- Complete all required documentation accurately, including delivery notes and vehicle logs.
- Maintain communication with the dispatch team regarding progress, delays, or issues encountered during journeys.
- Adhere strictly to legal driving hours and rest periods in compliance with regulations.
- Ensure the vehicle is kept clean and well-maintained throughout the journey.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving, with ferry trailers.
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices for long-haul transportation.
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record.
- Ability to load, secure, and unload cargo efficiently using appropriate equipment.
- Good organisational skills to plan routes effectively and manage time efficiently.
- Flexibility to undertake extended trips as required, with a focus on safety and professionalism.
Pay: £21.00 per hour
