Job Summary
We have an opportunity for a Slinger in Edinburgh (EH3 area) for a well-established, national main contractor. Our client specialises in key construction projects such as residential / hotel / office / student accommodation new builds.
Responsibilities
- Safely assist with the positioning and movement of heavy materials and equipment using appropriate slinging techniques
- Operate lifting machinery in coordination with crane operators to ensure safe load handling
- Conduct routine safety checks on lifting gear and equipment before use
- Communicate clearly with team members, crane operators, and site supervisors to coordinate tasks effectively
- Maintain accurate documentation of load movements and safety checks
- Follow all health and safety regulations and site protocols at all times
- Assist in setting up work areas, including securing loads and preparing materials for lifting operations
Qualifications
- Must hold a Blue CPCS
- Previous experience in construction is essential
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with team members and supervisors
