Receptionist/Administrator
Orthopaedic Vet – Ashbourne
20–25 hours per week
Are you an organised, friendly and compassionate person who enjoys providing exceptional customer service? We are looking for a receptionist to join our growing team at Orthopaedic Vet in Ashbourne.
Orthopaedic Vet is an independent veterinary referral practice focusing on orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery. We pride ourselves on delivering outstanding patient care alongside excellent communication and support for our clients and referring veterinary practices.
About the Role
As the first point of contact for our clients and referring Vets, you will play a vital role in ensuring every visitor receives a warm and professional welcome. Your responsibilities will include:
- Greeting clients and their pets with empathy and professionalism.
- Answering telephone and email enquiries.
- Acknowledging referrals
- Booking appointments and managing the appointment diary.
- Processing payments and maintaining accurate records.
- Liaising with veterinary surgeons, nurses and referring practices.
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of reception and administrative tasks.
- General housekeeping and cleaning duties.
We're looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, approachable and compassionate.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident using computers and practice management systems (training will be provided).
- An excellent communicator with strong customer service skills.
- Able to remain calm and efficient in a busy environment.
- Previous reception, administration or veterinary practice experience is desirable but not essential.
- Part-time role of 20–25 hours per week.
