About the Role #INDP
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Solar Consultant to join our growing renewable energy team based in Keighley.
This is a predominantly consultancy-focused role (approximately 80%), working closely with customers, stakeholders, and internal teams to develop and deliver high-quality solar energy solutions. The remaining 20% of the role will involve project management responsibilities, ensuring projects progress smoothly from design through to installation and completion.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong solar industry knowledge who enjoys providing technical advice, supporting customers, and helping drive the transition to renewable energy.
Key Responsibilities
Consultancy (80%)
- Provide expert guidance on solar PV and battery storage solutions.
- Conduct customer consultations and assess project requirements.
- Review system designs, proposals, and technical specifications.
- Support customers throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide technical advice on system performance, compliance, and best practice.
- Liaise with installers, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure optimum project outcomes.
- Stay up to date with industry regulations, technologies, and market developments.
- Support business development activities and identify new opportunities.
Project Management (20%)
- Coordinate solar projects from enquiry through to completion.
- Monitor project progress, budgets, and timelines.
- Liaise with installation teams and subcontractors.
- Attend project meetings and provide progress updates.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to specification.
- Support issue resolution and project close-out activities.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience within the solar PV industry.
- Strong technical understanding of solar PV systems and battery storage.
- Experience in a consultancy, design, project management, surveying, or technical support role.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to review technical drawings and project documentation.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Commercial awareness and customer-focused mindset.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
- Knowledge of MCS standards and DNO processes.
- Experience with solar design software.
- Experience managing renewable energy projects.
- Understanding of battery storage and EV charging technologies.
