Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various projects. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical codes and safety standards, along with practical experience using hand tools and power tools. The Electrician will play a vital part in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and compliance of all electrical installations and maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities
- Install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, systems, and equipment in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults and perform repairs efficiently to minimise downtime.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams to complete installations accurately.
- Use hand tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, wire strippers, as well as power tools including drills and saws to carry out tasks.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety legislation and company policies.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues before they develop into problems.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople and project managers to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed for documentation purposes.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Electrician with a solid understanding of electrical systems and safety procedures.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to electrical work.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
- Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Qualifications and certifications in electrical installation and maintenance, with the NIC or NAPT is a must
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
