Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pizza / Grill / Kebab Cook to join our busy restaurant team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting a variety of delicious dishes in a fast-paced environment. Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to recipes and standards
- Cook pizzas, grilled meats, kebabs, and other menu items to high-quality standards
- Ensure all food is cooked safely and hygienically, adhering to food safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and cooking equipment throughout shifts
- Assist with meal preparation during busy periods to ensure timely service
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to guarantee perfect results
- Serve dishes promptly and professionally to customers or front-of-house staff
- Follow portion control guidelines and presentation standards for all menu items
- Support stock rotation and assist with inventory management as required
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen roles within a restaurant environment
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Strong skills in meal preparation, especially pizza making, grilling, and kebab cooking
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation
- Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm for culinary arts is key
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings and weekends as needed
