Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber/Pipefitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining piping systems across various commercial and industrial sites. Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain piping systems using appropriate tools and techniques
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Weld pipes and fittings as required, ensuring compliance with safety standards
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to complete tasks accurately
- Perform mechanical assembly of piping components and related infrastructure
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues or hazards within piping systems
- Assist in the construction of structural supports for pipes and related equipment
- Carry out heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment at all times
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met efficiently
Qualifications
- Proven experience in plumbing, pipefitting, or related trades
- Skilled in welding techniques relevant to pipework installation
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and mechanical assembly processes
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, and safety standards
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations
- Experience with carpentry or structural support installation is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively
- Valid driving licence for commercial driving is desirable but not essential
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
