Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Carer/Senior Carer to provide high-quality support to individuals in a their own homes. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming in accordance with care plans
- Support clients with mobility and daily activities to promote independence
- Administer medication as prescribed and document accurately
- Maintain clear and compassionate communication with clients, their families, and the care team
- Organise and update individual care plans to reflect changing needs
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' quality of life
- Ensure the safety of clients by adhering to health and safety protocols at all times
- Support transportation needs by driving clients to appointments or outings when required
- Keep accurate records of care provided using IT systems
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided
- Valid driving licence is preferred for client transportation duties
- Good command of English, both written and spoken
- Strong IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and team members
- Compassionate nature with a genuine interest in caring for others
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Organised, reliable, and attentive to detail
