We’re looking to replace one of our bakery team, who is heading to sunnier climes!
Our on-site Bakery, here at Lampeter, specialises in naturally fermented sourdough breads and delicious pastries.
The successful candidate would be required to work early starts, 4 days per week, including Saturdays.
The Role entails working as part of a small, skilled and supportive bakery team, crafting organic sourdough breads using long fermentation techniques. We pride ourselves in maintaining high standards, as we produce sourdough and pastries, for both of our shops and for our homedelivery and wholesale customers.
You would be required to work 4 days per week, including Saturdays, with 8hr shifts starting between 3.00am and 5.00am. Holiday cover would also be required and every member of the team takes turns feeding the ‘levain’ twice a month on Sundays (approx. 45 minutes) for which double time is paid.
We welcome applications from individuals with a proven record of experience in a professional setting, such as cafés, restaurants or food production. Previous bakery experience is welcome, but not an essential requirement for this role as extensive training would be provided for the right person. Being passion for good food and sourdough
As a member of the Watson & Pratt’s team, you would have one free coffee, daily & mates rates coffee.
Each department within the business takes turns in providing a weekly wellness lunch and staff are also given a discount on food: fruit and vegetables 50%, other products 20%. Our location here in Lampeter Industrial Estate offers free parking for our employees.
