Sous Chef – Hidden River Cabins
Hidden River Cabins is seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join our friendly and dedicated kitchen team. Set in a stunning rural location, we are a busy and reputable wedding venue with an on-site restaurant, known for delivering high-quality food and exceptional guest experiences.
About the Role
As Sous Chef, you will play a key role in supporting in both our restaurant service and wedding events. This is a fast-paced, hands-on position where consistency, creativity, and attention to detail are essential. You will help lead the kitchen team, maintain high standards, and ensure smooth service across all areas of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the day-to-day running of the kitchen
- Support the delivery of high-quality dishes for both restaurant service and weddings
- Maintain excellent food hygiene and safety standards
- Ensure consistency and presentation meet our high standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar Sous Chef or senior chef role
- Strong background in high-quality, fresh food preparation
- Experience working in busy kitchens, ideally including events or weddings
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- A positive, team-focused attitude and strong communication skills
- Own transport is essential due to our rural location
