We are excited to be expanding our team and are looking for dedicated Night Support Workers to join us in Derby. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is calm, caring, and committed to making a real difference during waking night and sleep-in shifts.
The Role
As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will play an important role in supporting individuals overnight, ensuring they feel safe, supported, and respected at all times.
You will provide consistent, person-centred care and be a reassuring presence throughout the night.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised support in line with individual care and recovery plans
- Provide emotional reassurance and practical support overnight
- Support daily living tasks where required
- Support with medication in line with training and policy
- Maintain accurate records and incident reports
- Ensure a safe, clean, and supportive environment
- Work collaboratively with the wider care team
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Minimum 1 year’s experience in mental health, social care, or a related support role
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Calm, reliable, and confident working independently during night shifts
- Right to work in the UK
Desirable
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
- Experience supporting vulnerable adults or individuals with mental health needs
Working Hours
- Waking Night / Sleep-In Shifts: 6pm – 8am
- 35–40 hours per week
- Day shifts (9am–9pm / 8am–6pm) may also be available depending on service needs
