We are looking for an experienced and organised Accountant to manage day-to-day financial activities, maintain accurate records, and support the management team with financial reporting and budgeting. Trent Lock Golf and Country Club is a welcoming and professional golf and leisure venue committed to delivering excellent service to our members, guests, and visitors. We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Accountant to support the financial operations of the club.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and bookkeeping
- Process invoices, payments, and supplier accounts
- Manage payroll and staff expense records
- Reconcile bank statements and control cash flow
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities
- Submit VAT returns and ensure compliance with HMRC requirements
- Monitor club revenues, memberships, and hospitality income
- Liaise with external accountants and auditors as required
- Ensure financial procedures and controls are followed
Requirements
- Previous experience in an accounting or finance role
- AAT qualified, part-qualified ACCA/CIMA, or equivalent experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting software
- Good understanding of payroll, VAT, and financial reporting
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Bookkeeping Software such as Xero and Sage
Working Hours
- Part-time, flexible hours
- Approximately 16–24 hours per week (flexible depending on experience and business needs)
