Ye Olde Salutation Inn, under new management, is looking for a passionate and reliable Part-Time Chef to join our kitchen team. We are seeking a competent pub chef with experience at CDP level or similar, who is confident working both independently and within a small team environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys producing quality pub food in a friendly and fast-paced setting while maintaining flexibility with part-time hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to a high standard
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure smooth service during busy periods
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen
- Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
- Monitor stock levels and communicate shortages to management
- Ensure food is stored and labelled correctly
- Work efficiently both alone and as part of a small kitchen team
- Deliver excellent food quality and customer satisfaction
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a chef or cook within a pub, restaurant, or hospitality environment
- Confident working independently when required
- Good understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene standards
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Friendly, reliable, and able to work well under pressure
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
- A genuine passion for cooking and hospitality
