Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated CPCS Tractor Driver to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating tractors and associated machinery to support construction and excavation projects. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and mechanical competence, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standards. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with relevant experience in commercial driving and machinery operation to contribute to dynamic projects within the industry.
Responsibilities
- Operate CPCS-approved tractors safely and efficiently across various construction sites.
- Assist with the mobilisation and demobilisation of machinery and materials.
- Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance of tractors and attached equipment.
- Collaborate with site teams to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to safety protocols.
- Support excavation activities using excavators when required, demonstrating mechanical knowledge.
- Follow all health and safety regulations diligently, reporting any hazards or issues immediately.
- Maintain accurate records of daily operations, inspections, and maintenance activities.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly operating tractors on construction sites.
- Mechanical knowledge related to tractor maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Experience with excavators is highly desirable, with the ability to assist in their operation when needed.
- Valid CPCS certification is essential for this role.
- Demonstrated understanding of health and safety standards within construction environments.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
