Link Contracting is a national provider of high-quality refurbishment and fit-out projects across a diverse range of sectors, including retail, residential, leisure, education, and healthcare. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional results for our clients, with the majority of our projects valued between £50,000 and £150,000, and a maximum project value of £750,000.
The Role:
We are seeking an experienced and proficient Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic commercial team. You will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of our projects by providing accurate cost management and commercial support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost plans and estimates for refurbishment and fit-out projects.
- Manage the procurement process, including tendering, subcontract awards, and final account negotiations.
- Monitor and control project costs, identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Prepare and submit interim and final valuations.
- Maintain accurate records of all project costs and financial transactions.
- Provide commercial advice and support to project managers and site teams.
- Assist with the preparation of PQQs and tender submissions when required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying.
- RICS and CIOB qualified preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry, with a focus on refurbishment and fit-out projects.
- Proven experience working on projects within the retail, residential, leisure, education, and healthcare sectors.
- Understanding of construction contracts and procurement procedures.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Full UK Driving License.
