Position: LGV Class 2 Refuse Driver
Location: Pershore Lane, Worcester, WR4 0AA
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Duration: 1+ Months
Working Hours: 37 hours per week
Pay Rate: PAYE: £14.13 per hour
Job Responsibilities:
- Drive a Class 2 HGV refuse collection vehicle safely
- Collect household and commercial waste from designated routes
- Work as part of a refuse collection crew
- Make sure bins are emptied correctly and safely returned
- Carry out daily vehicle checks before and after use
- Report any vehicle faults or safety issues
- Follow road safety rules and council procedures at all times
- Help ensure collections are completed on time
- Support other team duties when needed
Person Specification:
- Must have a valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV driving licence
- Experience of driving large goods vehicles is preferred
- Able to work safely and follow instructions
- Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather
- Reliable and punctual
- Good awareness of road safety
- Able to work well as part of a team
- Positive and responsible attitude towards safety and customers
- Basic understanding of vehicle checks and maintenance reporting
