BBQ Sales Assistant
Love BBQ? Know your way around a grill, smoker, or live fire setup? We’re looking for someone friendly, hands-on, and genuinely into outdoor cooking to join the team at Black Box BBQ.
This is more than just retail, you’ll be chatting BBQ with customers, helping people choose the right gear, firing up demos, and keeping the shop looking sharp. If you’re the kind of person who can talk rubs, charcoal, reverse searing, or low-and-slow without sounding scripted, you’ll fit right in.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Welcoming customers and helping them find the right BBQs, grills, smokers, and accessories
- Sharing product knowledge and real enthusiasm for outdoor cooking
- Demonstrating products and helping customers level up their BBQ game
- Keeping the shop floor clean, organised, and well merchandised
- Processing sales through the till system (cash, card, and mobile payments)
- Helping with deliveries, stock replenishment, and general shop upkeep
- Supporting events, promotions, and new product launches
- Working as part of a relaxed, hardworking team
What We’re Looking For
- A genuine interest in BBQ, grilling, smoking, or outdoor cooking
- Confident, proactive and someone who enjoys talking to people
- Retail experience is a bonus, but personality and enthusiasm matter more
- Good organisation and attention to detail
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Weekend availability essential
- Working Days required: Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sundays (open to discuss options)
